Autumn Term 2018 Week Beginning 17th December

The Christmas Holidays have finally arrive after what can only be described as a very busy few weeks in school!

A short newsletter this week...

Singing at the Bridges

Our school choir will be performed on Thursday. They weere simly outstanding! Checkout their video on our facebook page. They raised a whopping £190. The money will be used to pay for the transport we used to get them there and £50 towards our playground funds.

EYFS Holiday Homework

Nursery

Nursery parents/carers - please spend some time over the holidays making a vehicle out of junk modelling with your child (a perfect use for all the Xmas boxes instead of putting them in the recycling bin)! It can be any vehicle and it is to help launch our topic of ‘Here, there and everywhere’. Please bring this model in on Monday 7th January. Thank you!

Reception

In Spring 1 your child will be learning through the topic of 'Here, There and Everywhere'. To launch this topic we would like you and your child to make a scrapbook of your most memorable holiday/day trip. This could be a holiday or a day trip to the beach, farm etc. Please be as creative as you like! Please return this to school on Monday 7th January 2019. We can’t wait to see and hear about all your amazing memories.

 Amazing Children

This term chldren have been trained up to be Playground Buddies and Lunchtime Moniters. Our Buddies ensure children are not left alone at playtime and the monitors keep everything running tickerty boo in our dining hall.

 Christmas Raffle

In our final assembly today, some children were lucky enough to win an early Christmas gift!

 Swimming

Year 4 children will start swimming on their usual day on the first week back!

Attendance

This weeks attendance is 88% 🙁

The class with the highest attendance this week was Miss Cutler!

Behaviour

This weeks behaviour trophy goes to Austen House! Well done everyone.

The term prize goes to Darling House - who have all had an extra break today!

Every week teaches nominate someone in their team for good behaviour and attitude. At the end of every term they go into a draw and the winners go on a rewards trip. This terms winners are:

Alex (Y1) Jaxon  (Y6) Jace (Y1) Eden (Y1)  Ava (Y1) Dylan Y3

On behalf of all the staff and children at Bexhill Academy, we would all like to wish you a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

Children return on Monday the 7th January 2019!
