Children in Need
Thankyou for all your amazing support today. There was some amazing costumes (as always) and the children had a fab day. So far we have raised £323.17 to go towards Children in Need.
Look out for the Spice Girls who made an appearance in Nursery this morning - their video is on our website!
Half Price Book Sale
On the 29th November school will host our Scholastic book Fair. This is the fair where everything is half price! We do this every year and it proves to be very popular for xmas presents as well as generating free books for school too!
Reception Trip
To launch our topic about ‘Christmas', the children will be visiting Adventure Valley on Tuesday 4th December 2018. This trip will creative festive memories that your child will cherish forever. The children will be taken on an enchanted Christmas journey. The children will experience:
· A full 90 minute Christmas experience, including a group visit to Santa in his festive grotto and a pre-selected, wrapped gift from Santa.
· A bag of special reindeer food from Adventure Valley’s real reindeers.
· A festive short animated film.
· Decorating a gingerbread biscuit to take home.
· A ride on animals.
· A huge winter inflatable.
· Elf arts and crafts.
The visit also includes a full day ticket to Adventure Valley with two huge indoor adventure play areas, as well as a range of fun animal activities held undercover in The Farmyard.
The total cost of this trip is £20. We understand that this is an expensive time of year and therefore if you would like to set up a payment plan, please speak to one of the Reception staff. The full amount needs to be paid by Friday 30th November.
Christmas Dinner
Our school Christmas Dinner is on Thursday 13th December. If packed lunch children wish to stop for dinner on this day, then can you let the office no no later than the 28th November. The cost is £2
Mugga
The children have loved playing on the mugga and its allowed other games and activities to take place in the yard!
Uniform
Please can we remind you that children need to be in full school uniform. This week we have had children in hoodies, branded trainers (non black), jeans and tracksuit bottoms.
PE is also causing an issue as many children are still not bringing a kit into school and are having to do PE in tights, boots or school shoes.
Please can you make sure your child is wearing the right items and have a PE kit in school for the full week.
Accidents
This month we have had two children who were almost knocked down after school. This is because parents (from our school) are parking on the paths and the corners of Borodin road. The cars on the road can't see if it’s clear and it is dangerous for our children.
PE
Children in Y5/6 are not wearing the correct PE kit. It needs to be
Black shorts/leggings/tracksuit bottoms (Plain black)
Purple T shirt
Trainers/Gym shoes
Many other children are not bringing a kit at all. They can't participate without the right clothing and footwear!
London
If your child is going to London for our Y5/6 trip, please note the next installment £70 needs to paid into school by the 23rd November.

This weeks attendance is 96%
The highest class Attendance Award goes to Mrs Major/Potts class (again!). Well done everyone a fiver is in your pot!
