Diary

 Dear Parents and Carers,

Sportsday (EYFS and KS1)

Wednesday 18th July 2019

Your child needs to come into school in their full PE kit (purple t-shirt, black shorts and black plimsolls).

If your child is in Nursery or Reception, the gates to the field will open at 9.15am for a 9.30am start.

(If your child attends an afternoon nursery session and would like to join in they can come in 9.15-10.30am in addition to their PM session)

If your child is in Year 1 or Year 2, the gates to the field will open at 10:30am for a 10:45am start.

The gates will be locked shortly after these times so please ensure you arrive on time.

If the weather is forecast to be hot, please apply sun cream before your child comes to school and supply your child with a sun hat and water bottle.

There will be an area for parents to sit/stand. It is highly important that you remain in this area before and during the races and it is equally important that your child remains in their area with their teachers. However, at the end of all of the activities, you will be able to speak to your child and purchase refreshments. We look forward to seeing you there.

Water Wipeout

On Thursday 11th July, children will be taking part in ‘Bexhill’s Water Wipeout’. This will be a sponsored event  to raise money for our playground (we are very close to the the target amount!). Every child who raises £5 or more they will be entered in to a prize draw. There will also be a prize for the child who raises the most money! Children will take part in a fun run around the field with some obstacles and challenges. Look out for more details nearer the time

Y6 Leavers

Please note leavers assembly will take place at the Town End Club on the 16th July. It will take place on the afternoon and then there will be a celebration for the children after school. School are purchasing the children a hoodie each as a leaving present. Many thanks for all the kind offers to pay for them, but school are buying them as a farewell gift and they will receive them in their leavers assembly. Please look out for more information nearer the time.

Reception Graduation

This will take place on the 10th July at Please look out for more information nearer the time.

Reports and Reviews

Annual reports will go out to parents on Friday 12th July. If you have an issue that you would like to discuss then you are more than welcome to arrange a time to discuss this with your class teacher.

Parents Evening will take place for those children who need their termly reviews and targets setting on Wednesday 17th July.

Year 1/2 trip to Raby Castle

To end our castles topic, we thought it would be an amazing experience for the children to visit an actual real-life castle. Therefore, we have arranged a trip to visit Raby Castle in Darlington. The cost of the trip will be £11.50 per child, which is to cover the cost of the coach, entry to the castle and the different workshops the children will be taking part in throughout the day.

Year 1 children will be visiting on Wednesday 3rd July

Year 2 children will be visiting on Thursday 4th July.
