Bexhill Bulletin
Autumn Term 2019/20 Week Beginning 2nd September 2019Welcome back!
We hope you have all had a magnificent summer. We welcome into EYFS several new children and they have had a great first week in settling in. We also welcome several other children who have joined us in KS2.
Building Work
Over the summer we have had a new boiler fitted as well as new flooring and doors in KS2. In the October holidays we will be getting a new surface laid on our yard.
Attendance
This week our attendance is 97% as unfortunately we have several children on holiday in the first week.
Every week we are having an assembly based on Ant and Dec's Saturday Night Take Away Show. Children with 100% attendance are chosen to play fun game etc. We had our first one today and it went really well.
Swimming
Our Year 4 children will be going swimming this Tuesday. They need to be in school on time and with their full kit. Girls need a black swimming costume and a cap. Boys need plain black swimming short and a cap and obviously a towel. Caps can be purchased at CastleView on the day if necessary.
Class DoJo
This will be up and running by Monday. This is an opportunity for you to see how many behaviour points your child has and is a way of communication between yourself and their class teacher. If you joined last year, you do not need to do anything. If you are a new parent at Bexhill we will send the codes home next week, so look our for it and it will explain what you need to do.
Communication
School can be contacted via telephone (0191 7070120), facebook messenger (which is private) and class Do Jo. Teachers are available at the end of the day, but it is quite a busy time as they need to ensure all the children leave safely. On a morning members of staff are on the door waiting to shake hands and welcome children in. Unfortunately teachers are not available at this time, but members of staff on the door will pass on any messages etc.
Dates
We will add all key dates for the year to the calendar underneath this letter and we will add to it as the year goes on. New date are always added in colour so you can see what has been added.
Earrings
These are not permitted in school for health and safety reasons. Please ensure they are taken out on for school each day.
Staff Update
Mrs Lillie had a healthy baby boy over the holidays. She and baby are doing well and we are looking forward to a visit!
