Today we held a whole school assembly to learn about the Queen and to celebrate her 90th Birthday! The children were great, and learned lots! The highlight was our very own version of ‘Grab the Ads’ from Ant and Dec’s Saturday Night Takeaway. Our very own Ant and Dec (Callum and Brandon) were our game show hosts, while Edison was the lucky contestant chosen! After answering 5 questions correctly, Edison was persuaded to gamble in the hope of winning all 16 prizes in the Queen themed quiz! After correctly naming the Queen’s first Shetland Pony (Peggy, incase you’re interested), in the tiebreaker question, Edison is happily going home tonight with a goody-bag including books, sweets, various toys and tickets for Sunderland v Arsenal! A huge well done, and thanks too to our ‘Ant and Dec’, Callum and Brandon.
